The greatest sights on Juist

Old hands already know most of the sights on the island, but for new guests and Töwerland fans who want to discover the island with new eyes, we have come up with a list of the most beautiful sights on the island.
We would like to start, of course, with the highlight par excellence - the Seezeichen. Built in 2008, it is hard to imagine the Juist skyline without the Seezeichen. From the viewing platforms you can enjoy a magnificent view of the village and the harbour.
The markings of the 7th degree of longitude on the island are also chic. You are sure to notice the plaque on your way to the sea mark or on your way back over the pier. You will find two more markers of this kind on the island - one on the dyke between the harbour and the dog walking area, the other on the beach promenade between the beach road and the Velero restaurant. The 7th degree of longitude runs through Germany in the west, touching Cologne, Koblenz and Saarbrücken, for example, before passing through Nice, Bern, Algeria and Nigeria.
Coming back towards the village from the 7th degree of longitude marker on the dyke, pause at the harbour and enjoy the view of Juist's lighthouse, the Memmertfeuer. In the past, the lighthouse stood on what is now the bird sanctuary island of Memmert and showed ships the way, but today the beacon only shines along the island.
To get to your next destination, turn right and pause at the Kurplatz, the tourist heart of Juist. An absolute must when you are on Töwerland. You can be on time for one of the many free open-air concerts, simply sit in one of the beach chairs or on one of the benches during the day and enjoy the sun, or launch your boats on the Schiffchenteich. So you shouldn't skip the Kurplatz when you're out and about on Juist - it would be hard to, after all, there are numerous shops and restaurants lined up around the Kurplatz that you don't want to leave out.
You walk north along Strandstraße and turn left to look at the Strandhotel Kurhaus Juist - the "White Castle by the Sea", as it is also fondly called. Anyone who has been inside or has studied the history of the hotel will also understand where the name comes from.
From your current position at the Strandhotel Kurhaus, you can already see the next destination on this tour - the TöwerVital. The exterior certainly cannot be compared with the splendour of the Strandhotel, but the inner values count too! Relaxation is guaranteed in the TöwerVital, because in addition to numerous wellness treatments, a panorama sauna and an adventure pool for the little ones and everyone else await you. So a visit to TöwerVital is always a good idea, especially because you get a reduced entrance fee if you have already paid your guest contribution.
To the Wilhelmshöhe and then to the Kalfamer. This walk can be a little longer, but it is well worth it! You walk along the sea, on soft sand, protected on one side by the dunes. You can enjoy the view and the salty air before you reach the Wadden Sea protection zone. Here it is almost like being in another world. At least that's how it feels during the time when the Kalfamer may be entered when no birds are breeding here. Enjoy the solitude and tranquillity that inevitably await you here, in the vast landscape.
The last stop on your tour is the Bill, the western end of the island. You can reach this point either by driving along the mudflats or on the beach. You can feel like you're on Mars here, so alone and covered in wonderful colours. And then you've already reached the end.
