The fresh wind on the island is the kites' best friend as they flutter colourfully and excitingly over the dunes. Stunt kites are a great fascination for kite lovers and a beautiful spectacle for spectators. But the horses on Juist can become shy due to the restless to and fro of the kites. They are then no longer steerable for the coachman. Therefore, two beach areas are designated on the island for kite lovers

Der Lenkdrachenplatz Ost liegt am Strand ca. 800 m östlich vom Hauptbadestrand.
Accessibility
The stunt kite site east is located on the beach approx. 800 m east of the main beach. You can reach this area of the beach as a wheelchair user with a solar-powered wheelchair. You can borrow the solar-powered wheelchair from the DRK. So you too can tame the kites.
