The Juist dog park is somewhat hidden in the direction of Wilhelmshöhe - approximately at the same level as the beginning of the airfield road - and can be easily reached on foot from the village. The signposting and the fence, which is clearly visible from afar, help with orientation. The large area offers plenty of space for your four-legged friends to play, learn and romp around, including a wonderful view of the Wadden Sea.
Dogs must be kept on a lead everywhere on Juist during the main season. During this time, the dog area is the only public place where the four-legged friends can run around freely. Thanks to the upgrading, the dog area is no longer just a means to an end, but a real enrichment and a place where locals and guests with dogs enjoy spending time. In addition to signs and a new fence, there is now a paved access road and a small house for shelter in storms and rain.
But the highlight is definitely the new agility equipment, which turns the area into a playground for dogs. While the four-legged friends romp around, their masters and mistresses can make new contacts, chat and have a good time together away from the hustle and bustle of the village.
When the dog park was redesigned, the interests of the dog owners were taken into account, represented by a group of committed islanders. The result is a good example of what successful cooperation between the municipality and the citizens of Juist can look like.
Please observe the following principles:
- Dogs may only be on the site together with their owner.
- Each dog owner enters the site at their own risk. The island municipality of Juist declines all liability.
- Parents are liable for their children.
- We urge every user to keep the site clean. Dog faeces must be removed immediately.
- The gates must be kept closed at all times. When opening the gates, please ensure that no dog can escape from the site unattended.
- Free running of dogs on this site is the responsibility of each owner. The dog must be looked after, consideration for others must be shown and the dog must be leashed if it shows undesirable behaviour.

Den Hundeauslaufplatz finden Sie außerhalb des Ortes. Gehen Sie Richtung Flugplatz. Wenn Sie den Ort bei den Fuhrbetrieben verlassen, biegen Sie noch vor der Neigung rechts in einen Weg ab. Diesen gehen Sie bis zum Ende. Dort wiederum führt links ein kleiner Weg zum Hundesauslaufplatz.
Accessibility
You will find the dog walking area outside the village. Walk in the direction of the airfield. When you leave the village at the haulage companies, turn right onto a path before the incline. Follow this path to the end. There again, a small path on the left leads to the dog exercise area. The dog exercise area is accessible for wheelchair users.
