Frisian Gallery
Art on Juist has many facets. In addition to the small and large works of art that you can marvel at in the open air (for example the Strandlooper on Strandstraße or the Juister Badefrau in front of the Altes Warmbad), you can look forward to a broadly positioned gallery in the heart of the island.
The former Mindermann Gallery, which unfortunately had to be closed down at the end of 2021 for reasons of age, is now home to the Friesen Galerie. Dutch-born Ted van Melick, who lives on Juist, was already firmly rooted in the Juist art scene before taking over the gallery, as he is largely responsible for selecting the exhibitions in the Haus des Kurgastes.
The Friesen Gallery will feature paintings by Udo Lindenberg, Otto Waalkes and many other big names. Ted van Melick himself will also be creating his own works of art in the rear area.
