The Juist Santa Claus
What's that? A carriage is slowly approaching. Could that be ... Yes! Santa Claus is coming! But not alone. Who is that? On Juist, St. Nicholas traditionally comes on December 6th accompanied by Knecht Ruprecht. The two of them have a word with the mayor of the island - whether sternly or approvingly depends entirely on the balance of the year. But there is also something for children: children who have behaved well and sing a sweet tune can enjoy a mare's tip.
By the way: on Juist, St. Nicholas comes by coach. Normally, that is. In 2023, St. Nicholas and Knecht Ruprecht had to arrive on foot. The roads were too slippery for the carriage thanks to the snow. Just typical Töwerland!

Where do the boats sleep in winter? How often have you walked past the sailing harbour and marvelled at all the boats moored there? Many times for sure! And where do the Juister* boats spend the winter? The members of the sailing club open their boat shed to all interested parties. Look forward to bratwurst, drinks and much more. Above all, don't miss the guided tour through the halls with lots of anecdotes. Members of the sailing club will guide you through their sacred halls with lots of humour and even more döntjes.
