The currents off the Juister North Sea coast are quite strong. Rushing water, tideways and currents can make swimming in the North Sea dangerous. Even if you are an experienced swimmer, the currents should not be underestimated. That's why there are the rescue towers on Juist, from where the lifeguards keep an eagle eye on you.
Please only swim in the North Sea during the official bathing time, follow the applicable rules and respect the strength of the North Sea!
The lifeguards on Juist are of course always there to answer your questions.
